Our History


After 5 billion COVID-19 tests were produced, 49 authorized tests were FDA-cleared, 1st over-the-counter home-use COVID-19 test was manufactured, and over 100 organizations were supported, the Center for the Advancement of Diagnostics for a Just Society was born.

ACME-POCT was formed to fasttrack innovation and translation of microsystems-engineered technologies

In 2020

ACME-POCT was asked to serve as the COVID-19 verification center for the NIH's Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) Tech program.

In 2021

As the RADx work continued and the NIH broadened the acceleration of diagnostics outside of COVID-19, the concept of the ADJUST Center was born.

In 2023

Drawing on experience with the RADx Tech initiatives, the Center for the Advancement of Diagnostics for a Just Society launched October 2023.

With funding by the Flu Lab Foundation, the ADJUST Center launched its flagship FluDx Accelerator summer of 2025.
